Formitive Years

I started developing as an actress/singer/dancer at the ripe old age of 3 years old, creating stories and performing them for anyone who’d be willing to be the audience. By middle school I’d performed in many plays and musicals both in community theater and regional professional theaters, done some voice over commercials and TV work and trained in dance, drama and singing.

In high school I traveled to the Soviet Union with a production called Peace Child on three tours to Boston, Russia, Kazakhstan and Latvia as well as Santa Cruz/Berkeley on the Central American tour. It was a life changing experience as well. Peace Child was empowering and moving to connect with youth from other cultures around the world. Our efforts positively impacted both the people in the U.S. and U.S.S.R. through friendship and performance. I made incredible friends along with my first ‘loves’ as well during those years.

After graduating Redwood High School, I started at the College of Marin and got involved in the world of Modern Dance both as a dancer and choreographer. I was also in a folk rock band called The Straw Coyotes—A seven piece group that played the main stage at The Oregon Country Faire festival.

I got accepted to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU (Musical Theater Division) and turned it down for ‘many reasons’, but found myself well suited to U.C.S.C. (Santa Cruz) and got my BA in Theater Arts. I went on to earn my actor’s equity card and work professionaly in the S.F. Bay Area. I also studied at A.C.T and American Musical Theater of San Jose.
